Aceit UK has confirmed an exciting multi-year partnership with AFL Scotland. The new agreement will see Aceit UK design, market and produce all of AFL Scotland’s clothing merchandise and national players kits, which will be available to purchase both online (via AFL Scotland’s Client Store on the Aceit Website) and at selected events.
Gino Arcella, Aceit UK’s Managing Director says: “This is an exciting deal for Aceit as well as AFL fans in Scotland, highlighting our commitment to help AFL Scotland grow the game.
“With 6 clubs and over 500 members now involved in AFL in Scotland, partnerships like this play a vital role in helping Clubs promote their brand, provide quality supporter gear for their fans and grow their revenue base.”
AFL Scotland’s President, David Baldie says: “We have seen the game grow dramatically here in Scotland in the past decade and AFL Scotland has big plans to develop the sport at all levels over the coming years. Together, with ACEIT UK there is a keen focus on the future of the game.
“This partnership enables us to ensure players and supporters alike feel and look their best while participating in footy.”
AFL Scotland is the national governing body of Australian Rules Football in Scotland. AFLS is responsible for the development of the sport throughout Scotland, the national teams; Clansmen and Sirens, and the national leagues; SARFL & SARFLW.
The interest in AFL is growing year-on-year across the UK and all-around Europe. For over 80 years there have been varsity matches played between Oxford and Cambridge, but the sport has since expanded far beyond the borders of London. Since the 1990’s AFL has had organised league play in Britain, and this has now expanded to over 20 countries across Europe.
In Australia, Aceit has a strong name amongst the AFL community and has been the official clothing partner for various AFL bodies for many years including, AFL NSW/ACT and AFL South Coast (NSW).
“We are excited to start working with this great sport here in the UK and bring with us our many years of experience in designing and manufacturing quality bespoke AFL kits,” Arcella added.
“We look forward to working with AFL Scotland in providing their supporters and players with quality merchandise and teamwear.”
