Aceit Team Spotlight - Warwickshire Women's Bowls

Welcome to Aceit Spotlight, where we shine a light on the clubs, counties and teams that make up the bowls community. From what makes them unique to how Aceit help them to unite, we're celebrating the people and organisations that help our sport thrive.

This time, we're featuring:

Warwickshire Women's Bowls

We had the pleasure of chatting to Debbie Bloxham at Warwickshire Women's bowls, who gave us an insight on the county team and how having their own kit helps them unite as a team.

Can you tell us a bit about your county team?

Warwickshire Women’s Bowls is made up of talented and dedicated players from clubs across the county. We compete at county and national level, bringing together bowlers of different ages and experiences who all share a passion for the sport and a commitment to representing Warwickshire with pride.

What does it mean to represent your county in bowls?

Representing Warwickshire is a great honour. It reflects the hard work and dedication players put into their game, and there is a real sense of pride in wearing the county colours. It is an opportunity to compete alongside and against some of the best players in the country while representing the county we care about so much.

How would you describe the culture and atmosphere within the squad?

The atmosphere within the squad is supportive, welcoming and inclusive. While everyone is competitive and wants to perform well, there is a strong sense of friendship and encouragement. We celebrate each other’s successes and work together through the challenges, creating a positive team environment.

How do players come together from different clubs to form a united team?

Although our players come from a variety of clubs, we all share the same goal when representing Warwickshire. Through county matches, training sessions and social events, strong friendships are built and players quickly come together as one team. The county kit creates a real sense of belonging and unity.

Why did you choose Aceit?

We chose Aceit because we liked the quality of the garments.  Service is also very good.  John Bell is a great representative for the Company.

Do you have any favourite pieces from the range?

My favourite piece are the ladies shorts, they are so comfortable, also the Shirt, it’s so striking!

How has the reaction been from other players or counties when you’ve worn the kit?

Everyone we meet when we play love our kit, especially the players. We are so distinctive and we look ready to win!

Has wearing Aceit helped create a stronger sense of identity as a county side?

Absolutely. Having a distinctive and coordinated kit helps reinforce our county identity and creates a strong visual presence. When we arrive at matches, everyone looks part of the same team, which strengthens the sense of togetherness and pride in representing Warwickshire.

Finally, would you recommend Aceit to other county or representative teams?

Yes I would recommend Aceit to anyone.
